Frequently Asked Questions
What are your hours?
We are open 6 AM to 6 PM daily with a few exceptions. We are closed for just the 4 major holidays: New Years Day, Easter, Thanksgiving, and Christmas (and the day after Christmas). We close earlier in the afternoon on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve.
Does Linda still work here?
Linda is enjoying retirement after working hard for many years. Even though she's not working at the bakery anymore, she stops to visit very often.
Is this fresh?
Yes, we bake fresh, from scratch every night. Our bakers start their baking around 8 pm and work through the night to fill orders and our needs for sales in our shop.
What do the colored dots and tags mean on your products?
We take care in making sure that you receive the most fresh products we can offer. Our colored dotting and tag system helps us keep our products properly rotated.
How long will this be good for?
Our products are made from scratch with no preservatives, so their shelf life is very different from store-bought breads and bakery treats. While we recommend our products are enjoyed within a couple of days, the amount of time any item will stay fresh depends on the type of product.
How soon should I order my cake?
We need just 2 days notice for custom cake orders. For orders less than 2 days in advance we may be able to make accommodations, but please call to see what flavors and options we have available. If you need a last minute decorated cake we have many options available in our freezer section, and we can still write a custom message on it for you.
Does this cake need to be refrigerated?
Our cakes frosted in buttercream do not need to be refrigerated, and they are best kept out at room temperature. Our whipped cream cakes are best kept in the refrigerator.
Can I freeze your products?
Our bread products keep in the freezer really well as well as most of our other products. Just be aware that our glaze frosting may dissolve or run away when defrosted.
